What does SCAtharsis mean?
|
EventsSocialsWe run social gatherings to welcome new researchers to the SCA. These social events are casual affairs to promote contact between researchers, inform new researchers of the facilities and resources available, and to encourage those midway or almost through their research to rise from their cave and share the light. Friendly Friday Drinks: next event at 4pm @ the Deep Dish Bar on Friday 27th May after the Seminar Day. 2004 party pics, 2005 Summer Soiree Flyer Symposiums + SalonsWe also run annual Symposiums to facilitate discussion, understanding of each others' research, feedback, and practice with academic presentations in an informal fellow-SCA-researchers only audience. There are now two themed Symposiums run each semester with an additional Salon that commenced in 2004 to showcase and provide an avenue for presentation of creative work and theories on them, and contribute to the creative arts methodology.
