- Arts Management
Studies in Arts Management are offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These courses are vocationally oriented and aim at preparing graduates to work in a diversity of arts and cultural industry environments which may range from large organisations and government departments to self-employment in the arts.
- Creative Writing
Creative Writing offerings at undergraduate level consists of core units of study at first and second year level supplemented by a wide range of elective units such as Narrative, Short Fiction, Editing, Writing for Young People, Script-writing for Screen, Script-writing for Theatre, Poetry, Non-fiction and Journals, Diaries and Autobiography.
- Visual Media
Visual Media offers a new body of analytic practice that is purposively tilted towards the focussed study of contextual and theoretic links in visual cultures.
- Media Arts
Media Arts offers theory and practical subjects in film, video, sound, radio, photography and New Media which aim to develop analytical, critical and creative skills. The course is unique in offering an holistic approach to a study of the media through subjects which integrate critical and practical concepts.
- Theatre Studies
Theatre Studies at the SCA is an integrated theory-practice program with particular focus on theatre as a cultural practice. Units are offered across a spectrum of performance modalities and include studies in European, Greek, Japanese and Australian theatre, feminist theatre, contemporary theatre production, modern, postmodern and postcolonial theatre studies, and technology and performance art.
